Receive £1,000 Back for Training The first details are now emerging of the 'Leadership and Management' funding that will be available to businesses in England between April 2011 and March 2012.           Eligibility   This funding is available for private sector businesses or social enterprise that :   1. Have fewer than 250 full time equivalent employees, and   2. Have at least one full time employee in addition to the beneficiary   3. Or be a Social Enterprise in accordance with the definition - A business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community.           Display the potential for high or fast growth defined as:     I. If trading for more than 12 months have the potential to increase turnover and/or number of employees by 20% each year for three years.     II. If trading for less than 12 months have the potential to achieve a turnover of £500,000 within three years of starting trading.     III. If a Social Enterprise, have the potential to increase turnover and/or number of staff by 10% in each of the next three years.     The Applicant   Owner Managers and Directors within small and medium sized businesses.   What can I use it for?   Leadership and Management Funding can be used for:   Management   Qualification   Coaching   Mentoring   The learning package must help develop the skills of the business leader and the growth of the business. Edu-Plus CIC have tailored courses specific to meet the criteria.   The Grant   This is a onetime only grant for all businesses meeting the criteria. Make sure you don't miss out, and claim your entitlement of up 50% of the cost of the training up to £1,000. e.g. Receive £2000 of training - you pay £1000.   Bonus   In additional to this, you will also receive another £1,000 (including VAT) worth of free training for your staff with Edu-Plus CIC.   What isn't included?   VAT isn't included in the funding, so you can use your full funding entitlement for training, and claim your VAT back as normal.   How does it work?   1. Train to Gain: Grants and Funding for Leadership & Management Development announce that company size 5 - 249, including Thai restaurants and businesses, may be eligible for a grant of up to £1,000 to spend on Leadership & Management development.           You could use this grant to fund or part-fund the following:   Coaching and Mentoring on Food Safety Management such as HACCP and Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB),   In-House Courses including 3-Day Food Hygiene for Supervisors BIIAB-Designated Premises Supervisors   Management Skills, Being a Leader, Motivating Others   Business Growth Course such as BIIAB-ILRO and Customer Service;   ESOL and many more...   We are providers under the Train to Gain Leadership & Management programme and can introduce you to the specialist advisors who will assess your eligibility for the grant.   If you meet the following criteria you may be eligible:   Company size 5-249 people   You are planning on developing your leadership & management skills   If eligible, you will be given a grant of £500 for the Managing Director, Director or another person responsible for strategic decision-making to spend on their devleopment.   You can also claim up to £500 for their further development or for the development of other members of staff. You will need to match-fund this pound for pound, i.e. to get the full grant of £500, you need to put in £500 of your own money.
